How we Yaham handle with ISA

Recently, the delegated act “Technical requirements and test procedure for approval of intelligent speed assistance (ISA)” in Europe has been adopted, is an system that ensures that vehicle speed does not exceed a safe or legally enforced speed.  It works by actively preventing drivers from exceeding the speed limit using road-sign recognition cameras and GPS-linked speed-limit databases. The objective is to protect Europeans against traffic accidents, poor air quality and climate change. 

It looks like EU will introduce ISA as mandatory in Europe. To ensure the system will read the Variable Message Sign (VMS) correct the refresh rate of VMS must be high (1000Hz). However, the character refresh rate must be at least 1000 Hz to ensure that the image can be correctly captured for adequate processing by the ISA system. 

In a nutshell，this system puts higher demands on the roadside VMS. If the luminance and chromic disuniformity, the refresh rate does not meet the requirements, there are dead pixel,  bad modules or color blocks on the panel,  etc., all of this would cause the ISA to reduce its accuracy.

Even in extreme rainy and snowy weather or low-visibility environments, our screens can still be clear and bright.  This can also effectively prevent blurring when photographing by the camera.
